Join in the fun of Field Day. A chance to make as many contacts as possible under trying conditions. If you are new to the hobby, this will be your introduction to contesting. Have fun setting up generators, radios, tents and antennas. Have fun using solar, wind, batteries or generators to power your radio. This once a year contest keeps us amateurs ready in the unlikely event the grid goes down. It is fun, it is outdoors, it is what amateur radio is all about.

This year NPARC members will be getting together Saturday June 28th and Sunday June 29th, 2008 in Niagara Falls, Ontario at Firemen's Park on Mountain Road. Contact Bob, VE3HNH at bob.ve3hnh@cogeco.ca if you would like to help with this fun event. If you like camping, you will love Field Day.

Directions

From St. Catharines or Fort Erie, take the Q.E.W. to Niagara Falls and exit at Mountain Road, Exit No.34. Turn east onto Mountain Road and look for Firemen's Park on your left at Dorchester Road. Click the map, below, to view a larger version.

There are many beautiful trees in the park to hang an antenna.

A large pavilion is available for barbecues, picnics and shelter. Enjoy!
