Volunteers Needed for Rowing Regatta

The South Niagara Rowing Club was quite impressed with the professionalism of all that helped at the RowOntario Regatta. The Rowing Club will have a one day event on Saturday, September 23, 2006. The event is called 'Head of the Welland'. The event starts at the Highway 406 bridge that crosses the Old Welland Canal and finishes up in downtown Welland. South Niagara Rowing Event

Saturday the 23rd was not the greatest of days but the following people were able to help out for the head race held from the Old Welland Canal at Hwy 406 to just behind the City Centre below the East Main Street bridge in Welland. The people were Peter Vince VA3PKV, Brian Kent VE3BMX, Sheldon Olmstead VE3KEX, Tom Strickland VE3AYY, Wes Sawchuk VE3ADU and myself Jim Demo VA3JV. Again the rowing club was impressed with the ability of all involved. I would like to take this time to again thank all involved.
