With the recent passing of our past president, Eric Meth, the club bylaws require the holding of an election at the next General Meeting to fill the vacant position for the remainder of the term.
This election was held at the April General meeting and the results are as follows:
Henry Jarzyna - VA3OV
Peter Teminski - VA3WET
Peter Teminski - VA3WET
As a result of the above nominations, the new club president was elected by acclimation.
Congratulations to Peter Teminski - VA3WET. Peter will hold the position for the remaining term of the presidents position. This is until the end of the club membership year, August 31, 2017.
Passing of our President - Eric Meth
It is with extreme sadness that I have to announce the death of our President, Eric Meth.
Eric was in the process of changing the structure of the club to become more technically orientated. His plan still had three years to go.
Single handedly he took over the maintenance of our repeaters & applied his access to contacts in the larger radio community to bring specialist speakers to our meetings.
It is up to the club members to keep this forward momentum going.
Please come to the meeting next week with ideas on topics, projects, summer events & people to take over the important roles Eric had assumed with such enthusiasm.
We do not have any further details but will keep you informed as best we can.
An Obituary for Eric Meth has been published. Details of visitation & funeral arrangements may be found at the following URL

After the meeting, members are free to discuss their future in the club and answer any questions about becoming an Amateur Radio Operator if you are not one already.
Refreshments will be available following the meeting and a mini flea-market for members to sell or trade their new and almost new equipment. Guests and Non-members may find this very interesting. Again all are welcome.
