Big Event #39 - In Review
Big Event #39 has come and gone. What an event! A complete sell-out!
A packed house of vendors and then when the doors finally opened, the rest of the place was packed.
It was great to see so many smiling faces almost running around and getting the sweetest deals. I missed out on all of them this year unfortunately as I was essentially running things this year. Hopefully next year I get a chance to find something nice.
Everyone seemed to be enjoying the food at the kitchen. The crew in there was absolutely amazing and did an excellent job. Things got a bit bogged down at one point but all of you were ordering food faster than they could make it. Eventually everything got caught up and everyone was eating again.
To the gentleman that hijacked the other guys sandwich, please refrain from doing that. Your sandwich was ready about 15 seconds later. Let's be adults and wait our turn. I understand that the food was so good that you just couldn't wait but please, have patience next time.
Overall it seemed that everyone had a great time and enjoyed the door and grand prizes that were supplied by ICOM, IES Communications, NPARC, Radio World, Radio Amateurs of/du Canada, Yuri Onipko (RigExpert), Professional Antenna Services, and Geddie VE3CJX.
I look forward to seeing everyone next year in 2018 for our 40th Big Event.
